What the World Thinks of Canada |

Over a three year period I worked on this book to bring to Canadians what the rest of the world thinks of us. At the moment this book is published on the internet only and I am looking for a publisher who would be interested in sharing with all Canadians this facinating information. Copyright Joe Bourgeois 2000 This book is not about “who we are” or to analyse what is a Canadian. This book is about how everyone else sees a Canadian. On a personal level, part of our self-analysis and awareness comes from the opinions of our peers on how they see us in society. I wanted to put together a book without surveys and statistics on what other nations think of Canada. There are enough surveys out there that can be analysed. I wanted to hear an open ended and subjective response from people from other countries on what they think of us. I have always felt sitting down talking to individuals or groups can lead to a better understanding of thoughts then a limited yes or no questionnaire. I could analyse the results and come up with some general comments on commonalties people like and dislike about our country, but what I really want is you to come up with your own interpretations. Read the book and come up with your own opinions of what other nations think of us. Enjoy. |
